According to a study by Site Selection Group, North Carolina has emerged as the top manufacturing hub in the U.S. The study evaluates 20 key variables, including access to qualified labor, competitive costs, and strategic geographic positioning, to determine its rankings. This year, greater emphasis was placed on factors such as utility costs, property taxes, and overall tax policies across all 50 states. North Carolina’s top ranking is largely attributed to its favorable demographics and migration patterns, a robust manufacturing sector, a low cost of doing business, and access to key consumer markets.
