Don’t forget to buy train tickets when you arrive and be sure to pack the kiddos’ swimsuit for the water features at the outdoor Earth Moves exhibit.
Time for lunch and family fun at Pullen Park! Raleigh’s Pullen Park includes everything from playgrounds, boat and train rides, a carousel, an outdoor cafe and so much more. A day at the one-of-a-kind city park will leave the kids happy… and has been a family tradition for decades in the capital city.
Take me out to the ball game! No matter the season, there is family fun to be had cheering on one of our many local sports teams. Hockey fans have the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes (known locally as the Canes). Baseball lovers can root on the Durham Bulls or Carolina Mudcats, and soccer fans can cheer for the North Carolina FC, not to mention any number of college sports!
In the South, we love a good gathering and great year-round weather makes for plenty of events and festivals. There are always plenty of ways to get together with family and friends and have a great time.
