Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s “Work in the Triangle” Initiative to Attract Talent and Companies at South by Southwest

RALEIGH, N.C. – Representatives from Wake County Economic Development (WCED) and the City of Raleigh’s office of economic development will be participating in the 2015 South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Trade Show and Job Fair event in Austin, Texas, from Thursday, March 12, to Wednesday, March 18. The team will exhibit at SXSW’s job market, to promote job opportunities with technology companies in Raleigh and the Triangle, and to interact with skilled professionals, entrepreneurs and technology companies attending SXSW. The goal of the trip to Austin is to raise awareness of Raleigh and the Triangle as a highly desirable destination for talented professionals by showcasing the region’s quality of place, and highlighting the area as a great place for entrepreneurs and businesses to start up and relocate.  

Greater Raleigh Chamber Of Commerce’s “Work In The Triangle" Recognized At IEDC Annual Conference

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Wake County Economic Development (WCED), and Work in the Triangle, has announced that it received the Gold Award for Excellence in Economic Development from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for its Wake County Advantages Brochure, which was specially designed to promote the many advantages of living and working in Wake County in an effort to attract new companies and talent to the area. In addition, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce received two Silver Awards for Excellence in Economic Development for New Media and Special Purpose Website for its talent attraction initiative, “Work in the Triangle, Smarter From Any Angle.”

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Wake County Economic Development (WCED), and Work in the Triangle, has announced that its “Work in the Triangle, Smarter From Any Angle” overall campaign received the “Best of Class – Large Division” award, the highest honor given by the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC). Additionally, Work in the Triangle received the “Award of Excellence” in the “Special Purpose Brochure” category and the “Award of Superior” in the “Special Purpose Website” and the “Thinking Out of the Box” category. The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Wake County Economic Development program also received an “Award of Excellence” in the “General Purpose Brochure” category for their Wake County – Make a Smart Move Brochure.

Work in the Triangle Attends South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, TX to promote Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. – Representatives from the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s economic development team, Raleigh Economic Development, Wake County Economic Development and Work in the Triangle will be participating in the 2013 South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Trade Show (http://sxsw.com/interactive) in Austin, Texas, from Friday, March 8, to Wednesday, March 13. Throughout SXSW, the initiative will host several contests and events driven by Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, including a #PopUpRaleigh contest, #TriangleSolo contest and Work in the Triangle Block party.

Research Triangle Debuts Talent Attraction Initiative at BIO 2012

BOSTON, MA – Wake County Economic Development has announced that for the first time, representatives from the Research Triangle Region, which encompasses the cities of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, are attending BIO International Convention’s BIO Career Fair June 18 (booth #104) in Boston to target not only companies looking to expand or relocate as they have done in the past, but also bioscience professionals themselves with the region’s “Work in the Triangle” campaign (www.WorkintheTriangle.com).

The Triangle Launches Talent Attraction Initiative

RALEIGH, N.C. –  Wake County Economic Development (WCED), in partnership with the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber’s Competitive EDGE4 program has announced the launch of the new “Work in the Triangle, Smarter From Any Angle” campaign, with a key objective to position and market the Research Triangle region as one of the top destinations for talented professionals to move to from across the country and around the world. By working closely with an array of industry organizations, the Work in the Triangle campaign is set-up to continue to retain, cultivate and replenish an important asset — people — in order for the region to flourish in the decades to come.
